i was just reading something on the RSPCA and this was some thing and it is shocking

"THIS CASE WAS DESTRESSING BEYOND MEASURE. WHAT WE WERE CONFRONTED WITH ON ARRIVAL AT THE FARM WAS GROTESQUE. TO SEE SO MANY ANIMALS IN SUCH AWFUL CONDITION WAS OVERWHELMING AND THOSE THAT HAD SURVIVED WERE SHOWN LITTLE CARE OR CONSIDERATION. MANY HORSES AND PONIES WERE LEFT TO STARVE."

 

THE RSPCA HAVE RESCUED 111 HORSES, PONIES AND DONKEYS

IN JANUARY 2008, RSPCA INSPECTORS RESCUED 111 HORSES, PONIES AND DONKEYS, THAT WERE FOUND IN APPALLING CONDITIONS ON A BUCKINGHAMSHIRE FARM. 

 

THE COST TO THE RSPCA OF CARING FOR THE ANIMALS INVOLVED HAS NOW REACHED OVER £850,000. WE DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP TO COUNTINUE TO CARE FOR THESE ANIMALS AND OTHERS LIKE THEM.

 

THE OPERATION TO MOVE THE HORSES WAS A DIFFICULT ONE

"THE OPERATION TO REMOVE THE ANIMALS TO SAFETY OVER A YEAR AGO WAS A DIFFICULT BUT SUCCESSFUL JOINT EFFORT BETWEEN MANY ANIMAL WELFARE AGENCIES AND THE POLICE." SAID INSPECTOR HAMPTON. "THE RSPCA WOULD LIKE TO THANK THEM ALL - AND IN PATICULAR THE HORSE TRUST, REDWINGS, AND THE WORLD HORSE WELFARE(changed from the ILPH) - FOR HELPING THE RSPCA PROVIDE ONGOING CARE FOR THE HUGE NUMBER OF DEPRIVED HORSES, PONIE AND DONKEYS REMOVED FROM SPINDLE FARM."

 

WELL DONE HORSE TRUST, REDWINGS, WORLD HORSE WELFARE AND THE RSPCA FOR HELPING THE 111 HORSES,PONIES AND DONKEYS 

In January 2008, RSPCA Inspectors rescued 111 horses, ponies and donkeys, that were found in appalling conditions on a Buckinghamshire farm.

Coco is pony of the month

Coco is a knabstrup.

This breed originally came from Denmark. They are intelligent and quick to learn which is why they were often chosen to perform in the circus. 

Coco used to be in the circus and is always entertaining the others with her tricks from her past. She has a great sense of humour and is always making the others laugh. She is full of energy and can't keep still she's always busy doing something.

The Sugar Cubes ponies

There are 12 ponies altogether, they all have their own personalities, breeds and star signs. It all started because my pony mad daughters wanted anything they saw with horses on. 

I wanted to create some cute ponies to put on T shirts. We started round the kitchen table and we all drew a pony, I put all the best bits together and we called him Sugar Cubes.

 Then I couldn't stop drawing ponies and we ended up with 12. Their personalities come from their breeds for example the Knabstrup breed is intelligent and quick to learn so they were used in the              circus hence Coco who will clown around and make the other ponies laugh she's also the best at opening the stable doors and gates.
